Operative Summit wasn't designed by a conference company. It was built by two clinicians with 30+ combined years in surgical suites — who saw a gap no one was filling and decided to fill it.
Operative Summit brings one surgical specialty together — OR nurses, surgical techs, PAs, NPs, surgeons, and OR professionals — to discover the products and techniques entering their practice. Each specialty runs on its own quarterly cadence, so vendors and clinicians can build sustained relationships across the year.
On the other side of the screen are the device companies that make the instruments, implants, and systems those professionals use every day. Operative Summit is where they meet — on equal footing, in a format built for both.
No noise. No dilution. No travel required.
When we say we understand OR professionals and medical device vendors, we mean it from both sides of the instrument table.

Pharaoh has spent over two decades in clinical medicine. 10 years as Chief PA in Spine at NY Spine Specialists. 3 years in orthopedic surgery at New York-Presbyterian. First assisted in thousands of OR cases alongside the very vendors and clinicians Operative Summit serves.
He spearheaded the Senior PA role on the NYP Orthopedic service, managed PA team operations, and collaborated on OR scheduling efficiency and pain committee initiatives. Before surgery, he served in the U.S. Navy, earning the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal.
He built Operative Summit because he knows exactly what OR professionals need from a product education platform — and what vendors have been missing about how to reach them.

Michelle's path to the OR runs through both the clinical and operational sides of healthcare. Perioperative nurse at New York-Presbyterian — orthopedics and spine were 50%+ of OR volume. She knows what device reps look like from the scrub side of the table.
She then served as OR Nurse Manager at Dr. Yael Halaas MD's surgical suite, running the full operational infrastructure: staffing, compliance, inventory management, and accreditation. Before nursing, she led cross-functional operations teams in corporate environments and grew retail revenue by 172% as Spa Manager at Equinox.
She brings to Operative Summit a rare combination of hands-on OR experience and proven operational leadership — which is exactly what building a national virtual expo platform requires.
"We didn't build this from the outside looking in. We built it because we've been in the OR, at the table, making these decisions. We know this audience because we are this audience."
— Pharaoh Sargent & Michelle Sampieri, Co-Founders, Operative SummitEvery word on this site, every session we design, every vendor we partner with — it goes through the lens of: does this serve the OR community?
Credentialing isn't a checkbox — it's a commitment to the people who attend and the vendors who invest. Every registrant is verified before gaining access.
We give vendors a platform and attendees real access. No marketing fog. Live Q&A means the community can ask anything — and does.
One specialty per event. Always. We don't dilute the audience or the content. If it's not relevant to that specialty's OR, it's not in the program.
We take the vendor's investment seriously. Lead data, engagement analytics, post-event replay — the numbers should show up in your pipeline.
Free for OR professionals. No travel. No budget required to attend. The goal is the most qualified audience possible — geography shouldn't be a barrier.
Whether you're an OR professional or a vendor, founding cohort spots are limited. Get in early.
